SETCLOCK, version 1 Copyright Alan H. Clifford, 1996, 1997. (The Dos serial routines have been adapted from code from the Technical Support staff at Borland International). Setclock is pair of programs: one for the Psion 3A and one for the PC running Dos (or an OS/2 dos session). WHAT IT DOES The programs allow the clock on the Psion to be set from the PC, or vice versa. There is an option to run the link software on the Psion once the time has been set. For a Psion and a PC using different time zones, GMT can be used to set the clock. The PC program can be run interactively or can be run from a batch file using command line switches. It is envisaged that the program on the Psion will be left running. If the Link software is required, pressing Psion...L from within the program will run the link. The program will pick up the com. port again once the Link software has finished using it. This means that as soon as PC program is run, the two programs will start communicating. INSTALLATION Copy TIM40.EXE to the PC. Copy TIM50.OPA to the \app directory on the Psion and install from the System Screen menu. RUNNING THE PROGRAMS Interactive mode. Type tim40 on the PC. Highlight Setclock on the Psion and press enter. Batch mode on the PC. Type tim40 /? to obtain help on the command line switches. CAVEAT This is the first public release of these programs. Only Com1 or Com2 with the standard settings can be used. PRICE This version of Setclock can be used without payment. A payment may be required for future versions.
